When it’s out outside, I like to make cold, fruity treats such as an acai bowl, a mojito mocktail, pineapple punch, agua fresca, and creamy peach smoothies.

Here I am with more stellar drink recipes. This time it’s a peach smoothie recipe which just screams summer. We make a ton of smoothies in this house and I truly enjoy coming up with delicious mixtures to share with my readers.

Peach Smoothie Ingredients

Ingredients including frozen fruit, yogurt and juice.

This recipe contains peach nectar, bananas, peaches, mangoes and vanilla yogurt.

How Do You Make A Peach Smoothie?

Place all of the smoothie ingredients into a blender, except for the garnishes. Blend until you have a smooth and pourable drink. Divide the smoothie into glasses. Garnish with chopped peaches and mint sprigs if desired, then serve and enjoy.

Step by step shots showing how to make a smoothie.

Tips For The Perfect Drink

  • Don’t be tempted to use room temperature peaches and mangoes in this drink. The frozen fruit is what helps to thicken the smoothie. If you have fresh peaches on hand to use, slice and freeze them first.
  • If you want an extra creamy and thick texture, you can freeze the banana too before use. I typically don’t keep frozen bananas in my freezer, but always have bags of peaches and mangoes on hand.
  • Serve your smoothies along with other breakfast items such as pumpkin muffins, corned beef hash or chocolate chip muffins.

Quick Tip

This drink is best when served immediately. Leftovers can be stored in the fridge for one day, but the mixture may separate. Stir any leftovers well before use.

Recipe FAQs

Are peaches healthy?

Peaches contain so many vital nutrients such as vitamins E and K, niacin, folate, iron and more. Peaches are also great for your skin, especially if you struggle with wrinkles. Not to mention, if you are out in the sun a lot, peaches help fight skin damage caused by the sun and pollution.

Do I need to peel peaches for smoothies?

You do not need to peel peaches for smoothies. Frozen peaches typically come with the peels removed already. If you’re freezing your own peaches, it’s up to you whether you choose to peel them or not. Peeled peaches will produce a creamier smoothie, and unpeeled peaches will add a bit of texture.

What fruit blends well with peaches?

Peaches go perfectly with an assortment of other fruits, including mango, pineapple, blueberries, strawberries and raspberries.

Flavor Variations

This smoothie is delicious as-is, but you can customize the flavors based on what you happen to have on hand.

  • Juice: No peach nectar on hand? You can use apple juice, white grape juice, coconut milk, almond milk or mango nectar instead.
  • Yogurt: Feel free to swap out the vanilla Greek yogurt for another flavor such as peach. You can also use a plant based dairy free yogurt if you have dietary considerations.
  • Fruit: Instead of mango, try a different type of fruit such as plums, apricots, blueberries, strawberries, pineapple or some mixed berries.
  • Add-ins: Feel free to add other ingredients to taste to boost the flavor and nutrition of your smoothies. Some great options include honey, cinnamon, spinach, protein powder, ground flax seeds, or chia seeds.

We always have plenty of peaches around this time of the year. That’s why this healthy peach smoothie is always at the top of my list when it comes to a summer breakfast, snack, or refreshing drink.

This came out great! I made a peach smoothie a few weeks ago and it was bland. Now I know why 🙂 For extra protein, fiber and healthy fats I added some raw pumpkin seeds, ground flax seeds and rolled oats. Also added 1/2 a tsp of cinnamon.
