This raspberry smoothie recipe is full of berries, banana and Greek yogurt, all blended up into smooth and creamy perfection!
Smoothies are a great way to get extra nutrition into your family – this delicious raspberry smoothie is full of protein, fiber and vitamins!
My older girls are pretty good about eating their fruits and veggies, but my youngest can be a challenge. She’d live off granola bars if I let her! I try to get more nutrition into her with things like smoothies, and this raspberry smoothie recipe is one of our favorites!
How to make a raspberry smoothie
The ingredients for this smoothie are pretty basic. You’ll need some apple juice, banana, frozen raspberries, honey, and vanilla Greek yogurt. Frozen raspberries are naturally quite tart, so you do need to add a little sweetness in the form of the juice and honey to counteract that.
If you’d rather not use apple juice, you can substitute almond milk, coconut milk or cows milk, just be aware that you might need to add a little more sweetener to compensate. This recipe calls for unsweetened raspberries, some stores sell the bags of raspberries that contain sugar. Be sure to read your labels to make sure you’re buying the correct berries!
You can use this same smoothie base and swap out the raspberries for blueberries or strawberries for a different experience. I try to always keep the ingredients for this easy smoothie on hand so that I can whip one up when the mood strikes.
There’s just one thing we haven’t discussed yet: the beautiful color of this raspberry smoothie! You know it’s gotta be good when it’s almost too pretty to drink!

How would cranberry juice taste in this?
Sara says
That should be fine if it’s the sweetened version, unsweetened may be too tart!

This looks and sounds so nice! Will be trying it at the weekend.
Question though – Is it 224 calories per glass or total? So 112 per glass and 224 total or 224 per glass and 448 total?
Sara says
It’s per glass!

This was so delish!! I added a small piece of ginger as I love adding ginger to all my juices and smoothies, and I used some beetroot for extra sweetness instead of honey. It was so good. Even my husband drank it with no complaints. I will definitely make again. Yum

Can I use fresh raspberries, and how would it affect the rest of this recipe?
Sara says
That should be fine, you may want to add a few tablespoons of crushed ice so that it’s nicely chilled!
Kriss says
Would I ruin it if i added a scoop of vanilla whey protein powder?
Sara says
That should be fine!

Love it. When made it it didn’t have the bright color but I used non frozen raspberries so was that the cause?
Sara says
Yes frozen raspberries are darker in color! Glad you enjoyed it!

What if your allergic to bananas? Should I use something else, or what should I do?
Sara says
You can just omit the bananas, and and either add 1/2 cup more of yogurt, or use 1/2 of a different type of fruit that blends up creamy like mango or peaches. Hope this helps!

I just tried this today! It was fabulous! Instead of using vanilla Greek yogurt, I used plain, and added a bit of vanilla and maple syrup. The texture was smooth and the flavour was lovely. A bit hit in my house with adults and kids alike! Thanks!
