To make this recipe, you will need cans of cinnamon roll dough, eggs, milk, maple syrup, all purpose flour, brown sugar, butter and ground cinnamon.
How Do You Make Cinnamon Roll French Toast Casserole?
Preheat the oven and coat a baking dish with with cooking spray. Remove the cinnamon roll dough from the can and cut each roll into quarters. Place the dough in the casserole dish. Reserve the frosting for later use. Place the eggs, milk and maple syrup in a large bowl and whisk to combine. Pour the egg mixture over the dough. In another bowl, add the flour, brown sugar, butter and cinnamon. Use a pastry blender or two forks to blend the butter into the other ingredients until a dough forms that looks like pebbles. Sprinkle this streusel over the top of the pan. Bake until the french toast is golden brown. Drizzle the frosting over the top, then serve and enjoy.

Cinnamon Roll French Toast Casserole
Ingredients
For the french toast
- 2 17.5 ounce cans cinnamon rolls frosting reserved for later use
- 4 eggs
- 3/4 cup milk
- 2 tablespoons maple syrup
- cooking spray
For the streusel
- 1/4 cup all purpose flour
- 1/4 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/4 cup butter cold and cut into pieces
- 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon
Instructions
- Preheat the oven to 350 degrees. Coat a 9×13 inch pan with cooking spray.
- Cut the cinnamon rolls into quarters and place them in the pan.
- In a small bowl mix together the eggs, milk and maple syrup.
- Pour the egg mixture over the cinnamon roll pieces.
- For the streusel, place the flour, brown sugar, butter and cinnamon in a medium bowl. Use a fork to blend the butter into the flour and sugar until a pebbly mixture forms.
- Sprinkle the streusel over the cinnamon roll french toast.
- Bake, uncovered, for 30-35 minutes or until golden brown and a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.
- Drizzle the reserved frosting over the top and serve.

Heat the whole thing in a covered dish at 325 degrees F until warmed through, or microwave individual slices!

This was ‘eggcellent’. Made it for a potluck brunch at work. It wasn’t as beautiful as yours but it was delicious. The only thing I did different was add 1T of syrup to control sugar.
