Mini Pizzas Ingredients
To make this recipe, you will need sheets of crescent roll dough, pizza sauce, mozzarella cheese, mini pepperoni slices and parsley.
How Do You Make Mini Pizzas?
Lay the both sheets of the crescent roll dough out on a flat surface like a baking sheet, then cut circles out of the dough to make pizza crusts. Press each crust into the well of a muffin tin, then add pizza sauce, cheese and mini pepperoni on top. Bake until the pizzas are golden brown and the cheese is melted. Add a sprinkle of parsley on top, then serve and enjoy.
Tips For The Perfect Pizzas
- Use a cookie cutter or the rim of a drinking glass to cut your pizza crust circles out of the crescent dough.
- Be sure to purchase a crescent dough sheet, not the actual rolls. The dough for rolls comes pre-cut into triangles and it will be hard to cut out circles.
- I recommend shredding your own cheese for this recipe. The pre-shredded cheese in bags at the grocery store often contains anti caking agents and doesn’t melt smoothly.
- These mini pizzas are best served immediately. If you have leftover pizzas, you can store them in the fridge, then put them in the oven or toaster oven to crisp them back up.
Quick Tip
Mini pizzas will stay fresh in the freezer for up to 2 months. Heat the pizzas from frozen in the oven at 350 degrees F for 10 minutes, or until heated through.
Recipe FAQs
Mini pizzas take about 8-10 minutes to cook at 400 degrees F. The pizzas are done when the crust turns golden brown and crisp, and the cheese is nicely melted.
A typical personal pizza ranges from 6-12 inches in diameter. A mini pizza is smaller than this range, typically about 3-4 inches in diameter.

Flavor Variations
This recipe serves as a template for basic mini pizzas, but it is so easy to customize the ingredients to your taste.
- Dough: No crescent dough on hand? Feel free to use biscuit dough or pizza dough instead. You can also use flour tortillas for a thinner crust.
- Sauce: Swap out the pizza sauce for marinara sauce, pesto or Alfredo sauce.
- Cheese: Try adding other types of cheese such as provolone, fontina or parmesan.
- Toppings: Get creative with your pizza toppings! Some great options include diced tomato, chicken, spinach, onions, fresh herbs such as fresh basil, pineapple, bacon, cooked sausage, artichokes, mushrooms, olives, bell peppers or ham.

Hi, these are really yummy. Do I need to cook mini pepperoni before I put on the pizzas to cook?
No you don’t need to cook the pepperoni separately!
What size cookie cutter do you use?
3 inch!
Hi there,
These look so delicious. Do you think they stay fresh if I bake these for outdoor birthday and put them in individual bags for couple hours ?
They should not sit out for more than 2 hours at room temperature, or a maximum of one hour if it’s a warmer day.
Why put them in a muffin tin? Could you just place on a baking sheet?
That’s fine but they just don’t hold their shape as well!
These were so perfect for a rainy day activity! Yummy too!
I let the granddaughters do their own toppings and it was really a fun activity! They also tasted yummy!
