I love to offer seasonal drink recipes in the fall months, including Thanksgiving punch, slow cooker apple cider and this easy and elegant Halloween punch. This non-alcoholic punch is sure to impress your party guests, and it’s great for both adults and kids.

Halloween punch is the perfect holiday offering with its blood red color, and it also takes just minutes to make! It’s one of my all time favorite punch recipes!

Halloween Punch Ingredients

Bottles of ginger ale, cranberry raspberry juice and apple cider.

To make this recipe, you will need cranberry raspberry juice, apple cider, ginger ale, and fruit such as fresh raspberries and cranberries.

How Do You Make Halloween Punch?

Pour the cran-raspberry juice, apple cider and ginger ale in a pitcher or large punch bowl. Stir gently to combine. Garnish with cranberries and raspberries, along with novelty ice cubes or plastic eyeballs, then serve.

Tips For The Perfect Drink

  • You can use sparkling apple cider or regular apple cider. The recipe works great with either variety! I like to use a spiced apple cider for a more complex flavor.
  • I recommend buying some novelty ice cubes in the shape of witches, skulls or eyeballs, or else getting a skull shaped ice cube mold to make your own ice cubes. You can also use plastic eyeballs to float in your punch bowl, or fill a rubber glove with water, then chill it in the freezer to make a spooky hand ice cube. Another great garnish is candy such as gummy worms.
  • If you don’t have fresh raspberries and cranberries on hand, frozen will also work fine.
  • You can use dry ice for a spooky smoke effect, just be sure no one consumes the dry ice. Check your local grocery store to see if they carry dry ice. I also recommend serving your punch in a cauldron for an extra special presentation.

Quick Tip

Halloween punch is best when it is served right away, as the bubbles in the soda will go flat over time.

Recipe FAQs

Is it safe to put dry ice in punch?

It is safe to use dry ice in Halloween punch, so long as no one actually swallows the dry ice. You can put a larger block of it in the bottom of the punch bowl, or else place some dry ice with water in a large bowl, then set your punch bowl inside the larger bowl so the dry ice isn’t actually in the punch itself.

How do you decorate a punch bowl for Halloween?

My favorite way to decorate a punch bowl for Halloween is with some fun ice cubes, like skulls or eyeballs. You can also fill latex gloves with water and freeze them to make hand ice cubes. You can also use gummy worms or gummy spiders.

Flavor Variations

This punch is delicious as is, but there are many ways to change the flavors to fit your taste!

  • Soda: Instead of ginger ale, try lemon lime soda or ginger beer.
  • Cider: You can use apple juice or orange juice instead of cider.
  • Cranberry Juice: Try red grape juice, cranberry cherry juice or pomegranate juice for a different flavor profile.
  • Garnishes: Feel free to use other types of fruit in the punch such as apple slices, orange slices or even add some spices like whole cinnamon sticks.
  • Alcohol: Make this an adult cocktail by adding 1 1/2 cups of vodka, gin, rum or tequila.

Every spooky party needs a great refreshing drink, and this Halloween punch recipe (also known as Witch’s Brew!) definitely fits the bill!
