How Do You Make Chicken Alfredo Pizza?

This chicken Alfredo pizza recipe starts with preheating your oven to 450 degrees F. Prepare your 12 inch pizza pan with cooking spray. Stretch your pizza dough across the pizza pan. Top your dough with a layer of Alfredo sauce, plenty of shredded cheese, cooked chicken and bacon. Bake your pizza for 15-17 minutes until the crust gets golden brown and the cheese gets bubbly. After the pizza comes out of the oven, the finishing touch is fresh diced tomatoes and parsley. Cut your pizza into slices, serve and enjoy!

Tips For The Perfect Chicken Alfredo Pizza

  • I use refrigerated pre-made Alfredo sauce as I think it has a fresher flavor than the jarred variety.
  • You can use any kind of pizza dough that you like. Feel free to make your own homemade pizza dough or purchase a pre-made pizza dough. I often buy pizza dough balls from my local grocery store. You can also use a can of pizza dough.
  • I prefer to use freshly grated mozzarella cheese for my chicken alfredo pizza. The pre-shredded cheese that comes in a bag at the grocery store often contains anti caking agents. It doesn’t melt as well as freshly shredded cheese.
  • I use a pizza pan, but you can use a sheet pan or baking sheet. Just prepare it with a little cooking spray.

Quick Tip

You can use any type of cooked chicken you have on hand, such as cubed roasted chicken, shredded chicken or even store bought rotisserie chicken.

Recipe FAQs

What temperature do you cook homemade pizza?

When it comes to pizza, the hotter the oven, the better. A super hot oven will help to crisp up the crust and turn the cheese golden brown. I cook my pizza at 450 degrees F for about 15 minutes, or until the crust is deep golden brown and the cheese is bubbly.

Can you reheat chicken Alfredo pizza?

You can reheat leftover pizza by placing an individual slice in a toaster oven on aluminum foil for about 5 minutes or until the pizza crust is crispy. You can reheat several slices of pizza in a conventional oven by baking them for 8-10 minutes in an oven set to 375 degrees F.

How long does chicken Alfredo pizza stay fresh?

You can store chicken Alfredo pizza in an airtight container in a refrigerator for 3 days. Simply heat up a slice in a toaster oven when you are ready to enjoy it.

Flavor Variations

You can add all different types of toppings to your chicken Alfredo pizza to customize it to your taste.

  • Protein: Instead of chicken, try diced ham or shrimp.
  • Cheese: Instead of mozzarella cheese, try a blend of cheeses such as fontina cheese, asiago cheese, parmesan cheese and white cheddar cheese.
  • Veggies: Feel free to add some of your favorite vegetables like sauteed mushrooms, sauteed garlic slices, cooked spinach, olives, marinated artichokes, onion, broccoli and bell pepper to your pizza.
  • Spicy: For a spicier pizza, feel free to mix some red pepper flakes in your Alfredo sauce. You can also sprinkle some red pepper flakes on the pizza.

You simply cannot go wrong with this white pizza. If you love chicken Alfredo, you’ll be sure to love this fun and unexpected recipe.

My daughter hates tomato, so when we make homemade pizza she normally just has garlic butter and cheese, which is a bit boring!
This sounds like a much better idea to do a cheesy pizza base for her with the chicken and bacon! (without he tomatoes on top of course!)
In fact, I think I will prefer it to normal pizza too!

Love this! My husband and I are avoiding starches so I double and pile the toppings on portobello mushrooms for us and our kids eat the pizza version! Everyone’s happy. Easy & delicious. I’ve been frequenting your site more & more! Thanks for the family friendly recipes.
