Steak Diane is one of the most beloved Cheesecake Factory recipes, and my version doesn’t disappoint. Tender beef medallions are seared to perfection and topped with creamy sauteed mushrooms for a classic dish that never goes out of style. I like to serve my Steak Diane with mashed potatoes, just like the restaurant version!
Steak Diane
Serves 4
2 tablespoons of butter, divided use
1 pound beef tenderloin, cut into 3 inch medallions
salt and pepper to taste
8 ounces sliced mushrooms
1/4 cup white wine
3/4 cup beef broth
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
1/4 cup heavy cream
2 tablespoons chopped parsley
Heat one tablespoon of the butter in a large pan over medium high heat. Season the beef with salt and pepper on both sides. Add the meat to the pan in a single layer and cook for 2-3 minutes per side (for medium cooked steak). Remove the steak from the pan and cover to keep warm. Add the remaining tablespoon of butter and mushrooms to the pan. Cook for 5-6 minutes or until mushrooms have softened. Add the wine to the pan and cook until the wine has reduced by half. Whisk in the beef broth, Dijon mustard and Worcestershire sauce. Bring to a simmer. Stir in the cream. Season the sauce with salt and pepper. Pour the mushroom sauce over the steaks and sprinkle with parsley, then serve.

I’m a few years late looks like. Thank you for the great recipes. I was only at the Cheesecake Factory once and I had the most delicious salad. It hat corn in it. I think it was a chicken salad. It has been a very long time but I still remember how delicious it was. There was so much of it I had leftovers for another meal at home. I would love to have that recipe for the salad and dressing.
