This raspberry margarita recipe is fresh raspberries blended with tequila, triple sec and fresh lime juice to make a delicious and colorful cocktail. The perfect drink for a hot summer day!
lime slices, fresh raspberries and mint sprigs for garnish
Instructions
Place the sugar and salt on a small plate and stir to combine. Dip the rim of a glass in water and place the rim on the plate.
Turn the glass on the plate to coat the rim, then place the glass upright.
Add the raspberries and agave syrup to a cocktail shaker, and use a muddler to crush the raspberries.
Add ice to the shaker, along with the triple sec, tequila and lime juice. Seal, then shake well.
Place ice in the cup, then strain the cocktail into the glass. Pouring this drink through the built-in strainer in a cocktail shaker will still leave some seeds in the drink. For a completely smooth drink, pour the drink through a fine mesh sieve into your glass.
Garnish the drink with raspberries, limes and mint, then serve.
Notes
Fresh raspberries work best in this drink. You can use frozen berries if that's what you have on hand, but be sure to thaw them first. Frozen berries may also not be as sweet as fresh, so you may need to add more agave.
This recipe makes one drink. If you need margaritas for a crowd, simply change the number of servings and the ingredient amounts will recalculate.
