Ingredients

  • 4 cups diced strawberries
  • 1 1/2 tablespoons lime juice
  • 1/2 cup sugar
  • 4 cups water divided use
  • mint sprigs, lime slices, strawberry slices optional

Instructions

  • Place the strawberries, lime juice, sugar and 2 cups of the water in a blender. Blend until smooth.
  • Strain the fruit mixture into a pitcher and discard solids. Add the remaining water to the pitcher and stir to combine.
  • Chill until ready to serve.
  • Garnish with mint, lime and fresh fruit if desired.

Notes

  1. I recommend using fresh strawberries, as they tend to be sweeter than frozen berries.
  2. Agua fresca will stay fresh in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
  3. Use freshly squeezed lime juice for the best results.
