Blue Margarita

This blue margarita is tequila, blue curacao, lime juice and agave syrup, all mixed together to form a colorful and refreshing cocktail. A quick and easy twist on the classic margarita recipe!

Ingredients

  • 2 teaspoons coarse sanding sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • ounces tequila blanco
  • ounces blue curacao
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • ½ ounce agave syrup
  • lime slices and mint sprigs for garnish

Instructions

  • Place the sugar and salt on a small plate and stir to combine.
  • Dip the rim of a glass in water, then put the rim of the glass into the plate of salt and sugar. Turn the glass to coat the rim, then place the glass upright.
  • Add ice to a cocktail shaker, then pour in the tequila, blue curacao, lime juice and agave syrup.
  • Seal the shaker, then shake to combine. Add ice to the glass, then strain the drink into the glass.
  • Add a slice of lime and mint sprig for garnish, then serve.

Notes

  1. This recipe makes one drink. You can adjust the number of servings in the recipe card if you need to serve more people, and the ingredient amounts will recalculate.
  2.  Don't have a cocktail shaker? Use a mason jar instead!
