Ingredients

  • 8 mint leaves
  • tablespoons granulated sugar
  • tablespoons hot water
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • 5 ounces club soda
  • mint sprigs and lime slices for garnish

Instructions

  • Mix together the sugar and hot water in a small bowl until the sugar is completely dissolved.
  • Place the mint leaves and sugar syrup in the bottom of a glass. Use a muddler and muddle everything together until the mint leaves are crushed.
  • Add ice on top of the sugar mint mixture. Pour in the lime juice and club soda.
  • Stir to combine.
  • Garnish with lime slices and mint sprigs if desired, then serve.

Notes

  1. Use a muddler tool to crush the mint leaves for the most authentic flavor. Muddlers can be purchased at kitchen supply stores or online.
  2. This recipe makes one mocktail. You can change the number of servings in the recipe card to suit the size of your group and the ingredient amounts will scale up accordingly.
