Pomegranate Margarita

This pomegranate margarita recipe is a flavorful blend of pomegranate and lime juice with tequila, triple sec and grenadine. A refreshing drink that's quick to make and perfect for the holidays!

Ingredients

  • 1 tablespoon sanding sugar
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 3 ounces pomegranate juice
  • ounces tequila blanco
  • 1 ounce triple sec
  • 1 ounce lime juice
  • ounces grenadine
  • lime slices, mint sprigs and pomegranate seeds for garnish

Instructions

  • Place the sanding sugar and salt on a small plate and stir to combine them.
  • Dip the rim of a glass in a bowl of water. Place the wet rim in the salt and sugar mixture. Set the glass aside.
  • Place a few cubes of ice in a cocktail shaker.
  • Pour the pomegranate juice, tequila and triple sec into the shaker.
  • Next, add the lime juice and grenadine to the shaker.
  • Cover the cocktail shaker and shake to combine the ingredients.
  • Place a few ice cubes in your glass.
  • Strain the contents of the cocktail shaker into the glass. Garnish with pomegranate seeds, lime and mint, then serve.

Notes

  1. This recipe makes one drink. You can easily scale the quantities up by changing the number of of servings on the recipe card.
  2.  I recommend using refrigerated 100% pomegranate juice for the best flavor.
  3. If you don't have a cocktail shaker, you can simply stir the ingredients together with a spoon or use a mason jar as your shaker.
