  • 36 Oreo cookies
  • 8 ounces cream cheese softened
  • 16 ounces candy melts or chocolate chips
  • 1 tablespoon vegetable shortening ONLY use shortening if you're using chocolate chips, you do not need to add it to candy melts
  • 1/2 cup sprinkles

  • Place the Oreo cookies in a food processor and pulse until crumbs form.
  • Pour the cookie crumbs into a bowl and add the cream cheese. Stir until a dough forms.
  • Roll the dough into 1 inch balls. Place the balls on a sheet pan lined with parchment or a non stick baking mat.
  • Freeze for 20 minutes or until firm.
  • Heat the chocolate/candy melts in the microwave in 30 second increments until melted. Stir until smooth.
  • If you are using chocolate chips, stir in the shortening.
  • Use a fork to dip each ball in the chocolate. Tap the fork against the side of the bowl to remove excess chocolate.
  • Transfer each dipped ball to parchment paper and top with sprinkles. Chill the balls in the refrigerator until firm.
  • Serve, or store the balls in the fridge for up to 2 weeks, or freezer for up to 2 months.
