Halloween Charcuterie Board

This Halloween charcuterie board is an assortment of cheeses, meats, crackers, fruit and Halloween themed sweets, all combined to make the perfect impressive party display. A spooky themed meat and cheese platter is a must-have for any fall gathering.

Ingredients

  • 1 1/2 pounds assorted cured meats such as salami, pepperoni, Spanish chorizo and prosciutto
  • 1 1/2 pounds cheese assorted, look for at least one bright orange cheese
  • 1 1/2 cups fruit, veggies and/or pickles primarily orange and black
  • 12 ounces assorted crackers
  • 3/4 cup nuts and seeds
  • fresh herbs for garnish
  • 12 ounces Halloween treats pumpkin cakes, chocolate pumpkins, ghost cookies, candy corn etc.
  • 1 jar jam or honey
  • small Halloween decorations spiders, skeletons, etc. optional

Instructions

  • Place the larger ingredients on a giant platter, such as the cheeses, jam and bowls of pickles.
  • Next add crackers, fruit and vegetables to the board.
  • Add the Halloween treats and meats to the platter.
  • Fill in any gaps with nuts and seeds.
  • Garnish with fresh herbs, then add small Halloween decorations and serve.

Notes

  1. Don't worry about finding the exact same items in these photos! Just do your best and look for things that fit the theme and that you think your friends and family will enjoy.
  2. When you're out shopping, stick to ingredients that are primarily in black, orange, purple and green colors for a more festive looking board.
  3. You may need to go to more than one store to find everything you need. This board is primarily made up from items at Trader Joe's and Whole Foods.
  4. Think outside the box, and be sure to check out the whole grocery store for ingredients, not just the deli area. For example, I found the ghost cookies in the bakery, and the chocolate pumpkins in the candy section.
  5. I purchased my Halloween decorations at Michael's and the seasonal Halloween store.
